Lifetime FCR Staff
Job Description
- Setup, Breakdown, and Cleaning Lifetime FCR equipment
- Handling birds, including banding and feeding
- Biosecurity- Health & Safety are major responsibilities
- Assist with Lifetime FCR program
- Ensure proper bird handling in accordance with animal welfare practices.
- Complies with Hubbard LLC Personnel and Job Safety rules, Biosecurity regulations, and the Bird Welfare Policy.
- Ensure maximum accuracy of pedigree data
- Monitor strain security to preserve and protect the purity of our bloodlines from contamination or theft.
- Perform all other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Must be a self-motivator capable of performing all tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- Basic Computer skills
- Ability to work Flexible hours including some weekends
- Team Oriented
- Some travel out-of-state may be required
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug-screen prior to employment
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
Other Conditions:
- Candidate must adhere to strict confidentiality rules in regards to data handling
- For bio-security purposes, candidate cannot own or house any wild or domesticated avian species
- Candidate must adhere to a strict 72-hour quarantine period after contact with non-Hubbard avian species
- Candidate agrees to comply with all other company biosecurity, animal welfare, safety, and personal conduct policies
- Many tasks performed in this role may require repetitive bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), kneeling, standing, walking, and contact with live animals
