Director of Planning and Canadian Sales

Position Overview

Primary Location for this position is Gainesville, GA.  Other US locations may be considered.  

We are seeking an execution-minded Director of Planning and Canadian Sales to lead our planning efforts and drive sales growth in the Canadian market. This role will be responsible for overseeing supply planning, demand planning, inventory management, and sales activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs.

Planning Responsibilities

Management and Coordination:

  • Oversee Supply Planning, Demand Planning, and Inventory Management processes.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance productivity, quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency across all planning operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Operations, Product Development, Procurement, and Logistics departments to ensure consistent and cost-effective supply of products.
  • Seek opportunities to improve planning processes through the use of contemporary tools, methods, and processes.
Business Integration:
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure current and accurate information drives the planning process.
  • Collaborate on strategies to optimize production planning and meet sales forecasts.

Sales Responsibilities

Build and Maintain Customer Relations:

  • Conduct regular interactions with customers to nurture strong relationships and address their needs.
  • Develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Order Management:
  • Efficiently manage customer orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and responsiveness.
  • Handle updates and modifications to orders promptly and effectively.
Logistics Coordination:
  • Work closely with logistics teams to coordinate deliveries and optimize load capacities.
  • Ensure on-time deliveries and minimize delays through effective coordination.
Sales Analysis:
  • Provide monthly recaps of sales trends and market updates in Canada.
  • Utilize sales data and market insights to forecast future sales and identify growth opportunities.
Company Profile Maintenance:
  • Update company profiles with new contact information and relevant details.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained to support sales and marketing efforts.
Marketing Plan Support:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to contribute insights and ideas for marketing plans.
  • Assist in implementing marketing strategies to effectively reach target audiences.
Trade Events and Conferences:
  • Represent the company at trade events and industry conferences to network and promote products/services.
  • Identify opportunities for business development and partnerships.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).

Proven experience in sales, customer service, and planning roles.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting sales and planning data.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Travel

Willingness to travel as needed to support sales and planning initiatives.
